Applications are invited from Indian and foreign nationals with excellent academic and research records for full-time positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor to carry out teaching and research in alternative, clean, and futuristic energy technologies and climate studies with expertise in either of materials, devices, systems, processes, modeling, integration, economics and policy.

Department’s priority areas

  • Energy generation: Next-generation solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, fuel cells, wind, hydro, tidal, and green hydrogen.
  • Energy storage: Batteries and supercapacitors, hydrogen and transport, and carbon sequestration.
  • Energy conversion: CO2 to fuels, waste to energy, and thermal energy systems.
  • Energy systems integration: Renewable-based power systems, smart-grid, micro-grid, electric vehicles, control systems, and optimization.
  • Energy and climate policy: Energy economics, modeling, and transition; circular economy; decarbonization; climate modeling, resilience, and adaptation.
  • Energy and the built-environment: Energy efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and climate adaptability; net-zero and smart buildings.

Academic programs: We currently offer Masters’ and Ph.D. programs in Sustainable Energy Engineering, and we will soon start an M.S.-Ph.D. and a Bachelors’ program.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Ph.D. from a reputed institute with an undergraduate degree in an appropriate area of engineering or science.
  • First class (or equivalent) in all degrees.
  • Proven research record with high-quality research output.

Heavy Civil Construction Faculty Position at Montana State University  

The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) at Montana State University invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in construction engineering technology with industry experience in heavy civil construction. The CE Department offers BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, and a BS degree in Construction Engineering Technology. Faculty for this position will be hired as part of an industry initiative initiated by the Beavers Heavy Civil Construction Association Charitable Trust and local and national heavy civil construction companies. Full-time non-tenure track appointments in the Department of Civil Engineering will have primary responsibilities in teaching and industry service. Successful candidates will become an integral member of the Department, with duties to include teaching courses in the curriculum, contributing to program and curriculum development, and participating in professional/service activities. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, (or higher) in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Significant industry experience in the broad area of heavy civil construction and evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
