The Peer Coaching Program is a program developed by the Counseling Center to offer an innovative way for Tech students to access a unique type of support to facilitate academic and personal success. The PCP trains Tech students to provide one-on-one support and education to their GT peers and offers Peer Coaches ongoing supervision in the provision of these services. Students serving as Peer Coaches are trained to assist consultees in identifying and accomplishing specific academic, social or other personal goals related to concerns commonly faced in college.
I am pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications from students who wish to be trained as a Peer Coach in Fall 2022. In the past, one of the best ways for us to receive quality applicants is for faculty, staff, and campus partners to “nominate” or encourage students that may be a strong candidate to apply to the program. If you are familiar with any students whom you feel would be a good fit for the program and are ready to make a impact on the lives of their peers, I strongly encourage you to encourage them to apply for the program! Any questions can sent to me at peercoaching@gatech.edu.
Application instructions, and more information about the program and training, can be found at the link below. Applicants must submit an application with two letters of recommendation no later than April 22nd.
