Did you generate income in 2021? If your answer is “yes,” you will likely need to file an income tax return by April 18. And to help you with the process, representatives from Global Human Resources, the Bursar’s Office, and the Office of Graduate Studies have teamed up to cover the dos and don’ts of filing your taxes. The virtual workshop will be held on Feb. 11 from 3-4 p.m. Are you a resident or non-resident international student?  Are you a U.S. citizen? This workshop is for you.

The purpose of the session is to explain how graduate students typically file taxes and the resources provided by Georgia Tech to help you do so. Proposal Writing for Science Researchers

In this workshop, Tim Floyd, Principal Research Engineer with the Georgia Tech Research Institute, will share best practices for writing research proposals and provide insight into the proposal writing process from first draft to submission. If you are interested in a career in applied research, join us to learn how effective writing can be your key to success. Registration is not required but is appreciated.

 

Communication Center: Just Write Fridays

Graduate students at all levels are invited to join weekly for structured writing time. Each session will begin with setting and sharing goals and end with a brief progress report. Students who attend 4 or more sessions will be entered into a drawing to win prizes.
