Drexel CAEE tenure track opening in Structures & Mechanics

In addition to our two hiring efforts that we advertised earlier this year, the department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) at Drexel University has an additional tenure-track position open at the Assistant Professor level in Structures and Mechanics for a start date of September 1, 2022.
This position is part of a multi-year Drexel Engineering Faculty Cluster Hiring initiative that will facilitate interdisciplinary hiring and enhance strategic connections across colleges in alignment with thematic areas of our strategic plan. The Drexel CAEE Department is currently searching for a colleague who conducts research in the broad theme of Smart, Integrated Cities. The successful candidate for this position will work at the intersections of academic units across the College of Engineering to build a dynamic and exciting research program in the areas of Structures and Mechanics. Phase One Design Seeks Graduate Engineer/Project Engineer
We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer-in-training tojoin our team. We are a rapidly expanding company in thesoutheastern region looking to bring on a young engineer totrain and grow with the company. This EIT will work directlyalongside the owners and PE to provide the best possibleproduct for the client.
EXPERIENCE

0 to 2 years
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES
- Bachelors’ degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- EIT Certification, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Drive and goal to obtain PE when able.
MINIMUM PROFICIENCIES
- Educational emphasis in structural (Timber, Steel, Reinforced Concrete, etc)
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Products
- Familiarity with Revit or Risa
- Critical thinking and understanding of how structural pieces are put together
- Open communication and teamwork
JOB DUTIES
- Residential and light commercial structural calculations and designs
- Creating and preparing as-builts for jobs
- Field observations and inspections/investigations of existing buildings and structures
- 30-50% field time to gather information for projects
- General drafting
- Preparing engineering reports
