Villanova Water Resources TT Position
The department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Villanova University is excited to announce a new tenure track faculty position in water resources. We are seeking candidates for an assistant professor position that will begin in Fall 2022. The Department is looking for a water resources engineering faculty member that can complement and expand the scope of our research and graduate engineering strengths in water resources engineering, as well as contribute to and enhance the Department’s undergraduate programs. Expertise in areas complementary to the existing faculty is sought and can include: risk and uncertainty in water resources applications including climate change adaptation; computational fluids/hydraulics including machine learning applications; open channel and surface water systems and infrastructure; watershed health; and water resources planning and management.

MIT Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Engineering Excellence_Overview
I am pleased to announce a new School of Engineering-wide Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Engineering Excellence at MIT, beginning July 2022. This program seeks to discover and develop the next generation of faculty leaders who will enhance the diversity of the School of Engineering through their research, educational efforts, and service, and contribute to excellence in the field of engineering. This SoE program is designed to help postdoctoral fellows develop in multiple dimensions. In addition to an emphasis on research, it will focus on providing resources and opportunities, and building a professional network for its mentees. The program will arrange a set of professional development opportunities as presentations and discussions for the cohort, along three career paths: academic, engineering leadership, and entrepreneurship. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2022, with decisions made by February 28, 2022.
Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Scholarship Announcement
The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture strives to provide students with an opportunity for success as they pursue agriculture-related courses of study. There are several scholarship opportunities available to students, each with varying criteria and eligibility requirements.
The four scholarship categories are:
- Scholarship for Agriculture—10 Scholarships of $3,000. The top 3 ranking applicants will be eligible for an additional $1,000 bonus.
- Technical College Scholarship for Agriculture—4 Scholarships of $1,500
- Rising College Junior/Senior Scholarship for Agriculture—8 Scholarships of $2,000
- UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship—2 Scholarships of $5,000
