Invitation to Support Engineering Grad Student Dissertation Study

Are you in a master’s or doctoral engineering program? Are you working with a faculty advisor toward your thesis, final project portfolio, or dissertation?

My name is Abimelec Mercado Rivera, and I am a Ph.D. student in the Engineering Education Systems and Design program at Arizona State University. If your answer to these questions is yes, I invite you to participate in a survey study aimed at exploring graduate students’ experience of completing a thesis, final project portfolio, or dissertation and the support they have received from their faculty advisor to help them succeed.

Our online survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. To participate, you must be 18 or older, be currently enrolled in an engineering graduate program that requires a thesis, dissertation, or applied project report to graduate, and be working with a faculty advisor. As an added bonus, you will have a chance to win one of thirty Amazon gift cards for $25!  If you would like to participate, please follow this link:

Your participation will help us advance our understanding of the graduate student experience and give you time to reflect on your experiences as you have been working to finish your degree. It will also help me finish my own dissertation research! Participation is voluntary, and choosing not to participate will not affect your standing with the university. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the student lead at abimelec.mercado@asu.edu.
