Glen Canyon Dam was built in 1963 and is beginning to fail due to water over-use and climate change. I am a part of a small organization that is looking to generate engineering ideas around re-connecting the flow of the Colorado River through Glen Canyon. We are sponsoring a contest with a $10,000 cash prize that will hopefully produce a viable design that will be part of the conversation with the Bureau of Reclamation around how this dam will be decommissioned.
