Create a one-of-a-kind book using origami and bookbinding techniques to make a book full of hidden pockets and compartments! This book is also known as the Zhen Xian Bao, or Chinese thread book. As the name suggests, they were originally used in central China. Traditionally, women made them to carry sewing supplies: threads, scraps of fabric, needles, paper patterns, and other relatively flat treasures– all folded and tucked into pockets. However, today they can be used to carry any small treasures! All skill levels welcome!
