The Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking’s Fast Film Fest is a festival for 5 minute or shorter paper animation films. The competition is free and open to the public. All short films should be created between January 14 and February 18, 2022. All animations must be paper-based, using cutout animation and/or stop motion animation techniques. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges to be presented during a virtual screening and award ceremony on Friday, March 4, 2022. After the screening, all submissions will be available for viewing via the Fast Film Fest webpage and the Paper Animation Film Fest Youtube Channel. No prior experience is necessary to participate.

2022 THEME: Press Start

We have partnered again with ASIFA-South and the Georgia Tech Library to bring you an amazing line up of virtual programming. We kick off the festival with the announcement of the 2022 theme: Press Start. The Paper Museum and our partners hope the theme inspires an unlimited number of ideas and you’ll be moved to submit an entry of your own. We welcome all skill levels. Lean into the fun and explore the many online resources, virtual talks, and workshops Fast Film Fest has to offer.
