Understanding how to identify potential issues in the code which may be impacting how fast and efficient your code is running is a powerful tool to have in a scientific programmer’s toolbox. In this short workshop, users will benchmark, profile, and improve a serial code using matrix multiplication, which is one of the most common numerical operations in scientific programming.
