CEEatGT  Career Expo

The Expo will be held on FridaySeptember 17, 2021 from 9 AM to 6PM. We have decided to host a virtual expo this fall and will be using the web-based platform and app, Career Fair Plus. Through Career Fair Plus, each company will have a profile and the opportunity to interact with our students one on one. These face to face interactions will allow you to discuss specific jobs, internships or general company opportunities with our students.

Download the Career Fair Plus app to get started. Then Set up an account to book appointments!  See more information here: https://gsso.ce.gatech.edu/2021/08/31/ceeatgt-career-expo-september-17th/

Internship at The Ray

This is an interesting internship opportunity for a CEE student who:

  • Is interested in sustainability (uniquely for roads/bridges)
  • Highway design and construction

We at The Ray are trying to connect with interested students with GIS skills and interest. Here is the background:

ESRI developed an ArcGIS Pro mapping tool for The Ray to offer to State DOTs, to evaluate right-of-way (ROW) land on interstates and highways for solar development opportunities, using their actual data sets. I’d love to meet you over Zoom or Teams and demo the tool, if you have time this week or next. I have attached a “GIS Specialist Internship” description for students to assist us – starting as soon as possible – with data inputs and analysis for DOT partners in Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Maryland, and potentially North Carolina and certain tribal governments.
