Summer Programs 2022
On behalf of Institute for Peace & Dialogue, we would like to inform you about the next Summer Programs in Basel, Switzerland.
Applicants can choose between the 13th Summer Academy and the 3-Month Research Program which may be combined with the 13th Summer Academy participation depending on the applicants` desire and filled application.
Participants will have access to expert knowledge and hands-on experience as all our facilitators are specialists with years of experience academically and professionally in their respective fields. This is truly a great opportunity not to be missed to get or refresh the knowledge, skills and create new worldwide friendship and networks.

EM Structural Summer Internship Position
EM Structural is looking for intern who wants to be part of a growing team of engineers, works well on a team, and is self-motivated. As an intern of EM Structural, you will be exposed to all phases of the building process from design development through construction administration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hand calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements.
- Perform shop drawing review.
- Utilize a variety of engineering software packages in computer aided design.
- Assist in the production of project documents for client submissions.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, structural emphasis, working on an M.S.
- E.I.T. (or E.I.) certification is preferred.
- Relevant internships and experience with building materials including: structural steel, mild concrete, post-tensioned concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Familiar with computer analysis packages including: Bentley Suite (RAM), Computers & Structures Suite (ETABS).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
