Position: Post-Doctoral Fellow in Environmental and Water Resources Modeling

Start Date: August 2022

Position Description: The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New
Orleans invites applications for a post-doctoral fellow position in environmental and water resources
modeling. The appointment will be for a minimum of one year with the potential for renewal upon
satisfactory performance. The position will involve developing new and enhancing existing research
programs in environmental and water resources engineering, and it will include the opportunity to engage
in undergraduate teaching, as well as graduate and undergraduate student mentoring. The successful
candidate will be highly motivated and strongly interested in an academic career that focuses on both
teaching and research. He or she will be capable of working both independently and as a team and will be
strongly focused on outcomes. This position will report to Dr. John Nicklow.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related field
• Strong technical writing skills
• Demonstrated progression in developing a strong scholarly research and publication record
