The Civil Engineering program in Rayen School of Engineering at Youngstown State University invites applications to fill in a full-time tenure-track assistant professor in Civil Engineering starting in Fall 2024. The program is looking for a faculty member with expertise preferably in geotechnical engineering. Candidates with expertise in transportation or environmental engineering or a combination thereof will also be considered. Applicants with demonstrated research experience in the major field of expertise and teaching experience in sophomore and junior level courses in Civil and Environmental engineering are encouraged to apply. The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise graduate students in their theses/projects, and establish and sustain an externally funded research program in the field of expertise. Tufts University seeks a tenure-track faculty in Life Cycle Assessment for Sustainable Materials and Sustainable Infrastructure Systems

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tufts University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty member in Life Cycle Assessment for Sustainable Materials and Sustainable Infrastructure Systems as a part of School and University initiatives in sustainability and climate.  The position is expected to be filled at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Please circulate this announcement to new PHDs and Post-docs.

Applicants should have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in using life cycle and environmental systems analyses to further sustainability goals in the areas of materials and/or civil infrastructure.  Areas of application may include, but are not limited to: emerging materials and technologies related to the energy transition, water-energy systems, and the interface of buildings and health.   Research that integrates social science and considers aspects of equity surrounding healthy communities is preferred.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in their area of research that attract students from various engineering disciplines, as well as contribute to the delivery of existing undergraduate and graduate curricula.
