The Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for multiple tenure track positions AND non-tenure track Clinical Teaching Track positions at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in support of our goal to integrate research, education, innovation, and engagement across the department and college. We seek a diverse cohort of scholars with training or experience in one or more cross-cutting themes, including (but not limited to) construction, data science, artificial intelligence (AI), or broadening participation and their interaction with various civil engineering specialties including geographic information systems (GIS); geotechnical; hydrological, environmental, and sustainability (HESE); structural; and transportation. Our most pressing needs include geotechnical engineering and construction engineering. Applicants who bridge multiple disciplines within the department or across campus are preferred.
Successful candidates will be responsible for developing and teaching courses in their areas of expertise, as well as collaborating with others to develop and teach interdisciplinary courses. We seek colleagues who will work to make CU Denver welcoming to students, faculty, and collaborators from diverse backgrounds, so we can achieve our full potential as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI).
