The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) at Montana State University invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in construction engineering technology with industry experience in heavy civil construction. The CE Department offers BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, and a BS degree in Construction Engineering Technology. Faculty for this position will be hired as part of an industry initiative initiated by the Beavers Heavy Civil Construction Association Charitable Trust and local and national heavy civil construction companies. Full-time non-tenure track appointments in the Department of Civil Engineering will have primary responsibilities in teaching and industry service. Successful candidates will become an integral member of the Department, with duties to include teaching courses in the curriculum, contributing to program and curriculum development, and participating in professional/service activities. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, (or higher) in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Significant industry experience in the broad area of heavy civil construction and evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
