Dennis Zhou, Ph.D, is currently a third-year medical student at Vanderbilt University’s School of Medicine. He is also part of Vanderbilt’s Medical Innovator Development Program (MIDP), which focuses on training doctoral graduates to become future physician-innovators. He received his doctoral degree in Bioengineering from Georgia Tech, where he studied cell mechano-transduction and signaling activity at focal adhesions. In this talk, Dennis and the MIDP coordinator will first give a short overview of MIDP, including the program’s goals, curriculum, and application process.
